CHELSEA TO PLAY LIVERPOOL TWICE IN FOUR DAYS IN SEPTEMBER

Premier League side Chelsea would clash with fierce rivals Liverpool twice within a few days in September. The Blues are currently doing very well under new manager Maurizio Sarri. They have won all three games so far in the league and are geared to do more as they find that balance for the season.

They face Bournemouth on Saturday and then league new boys Cardiff City on 15th of the new month, both home games. Chelsea play struggling West Ham United side away on the 23rdahead of their back to back meetings against the current leaders of the Premier League log.

The League Cup, still sponsored by Carabao, would see both sides clash in the third round on Tuesday, 25th of September before they meet that weekend in the league. Since the draw is unseeded, such epic clashes early in the tournament are a regular occurrence.

Both sides last meet at this tournament in the semifinal stage in 2014/15. Anfield would play hosts to the first meeting before Chelsea host the Reds in the league game days later.

The other fixtures of the Carabao Cup would see Everton play Southampton. The Toffees recently defeated the Saints 2-1 in a league fixture so this should be interesting.

Frank Lampard led side Derby County would go head to head with Manchester United. West Bromwich Albion would face Crystal Palace while Tottenham Hotspurs, who saw off United at Old Trafford 3-0, will face Watford. The Spurs-Watford game should be fun to see as they are both doing well in the new season, and they both have maximum points from three games played so far.

Arsenal play Brentford; Burton Albion face Burnley; Wycombe Wanderers play Norwich City; West Ham play Macclesfield Town; Oxford United face Premier League champs Manchester City, while Millwall meetFulham.

The rest of the draws would see AFC Bournemouth meet Blackburn Rovers; Preston North End would meet Middlesbrough; Wolves would face fellow league rivals Leicester City; Blackpool and QPR, and finally Nottingham Forest meet Stoke City.
