EDEN HAZARD IMPRESS AS CHELSEA DEFEAT HUDDERSFIELD

Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard was in superb form as the Blues beat Huddersfield on Tuesday. Following the shock loss to West Ham on Saturday, the team responded very well as they returned to winning ways.

Antonio Conte admitted that the Premier League race was over as Manchester City widened the gap to 14 points. The Italian manager was widely condemned for such statement especially as the season was yet to reach halfway. It seems Stamford Bridge is merely seeking a top four finish this term, and possibly any other domestic title. In Europe, they have been drawn against Barcelona and it seems like the end of the road already.

Tiemoue Bakayoko, Willian and Pedro scored a goal each as Chelsea trumped Huddersfield but Laurent Depoitre was able to get a late consolation.

Hazard was very brilliant in the game and unselfish too. He opened up space in the defence of the opponents to setup Bakayoko for the opener. Willian scored the second and got two assists but Hazard was the more dangerous man. The Belgium international pulled players to himself, while beating them with his magnificent first touch. At the end of the game, Hazard insisted that Willian be awarded the Man of the Match.

Chelsea have seemingly good fixtures from now until the end of February. They face just one top six side – Arsenal at the Emirates – and lowly opposition with average position 15th on the log.

For Huddersfield, they could not withstand the quality of their guests even at the John Smith stadium. The fans traded songs at each other; Chelsea claimed they were the ‘Champions of England’ but Huddersfield fans insisted they were not champions any more. Chelsea responded that they remain the champions until May.
