HOW REAL MADRID WILL LINEUP NEXT SEASON

Real Madrid have come underpressure ahead of the new season after their disappointing 7-3 loss to rivals Atletico Madrid the match gave an indication if the problems affecting the Spanish outfit and does not bode well for the club moving forward. However manager ZinedineZidane still has time to decide his first 11. In this article we look at the possible players that could feature in the starting lineup for the club next season.

Belgium stopper ThibautCourtois should be the undisputed number one despite competition from Costa Rica international KeylorNavas. Courtois has endured a difficult start to his Real Madrid career after completing his dream move from Chelsea last summer.

In the defenceCarvajal remains one of the best rightbacks in the business and was one of the few Madrid players that performed well last season. Zidane would also have to take the difficult decision of benching leftback Marcelo for new signing FerlandMendy. Marcelo has been a great servant for the club but his best days appear to be long gone.

In central defence the pairing of Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane has been steady in the past few seasons and should begin the season but new signing Militao could break into the first team as heposses quality.

Real Madrid also have to make key decisions in the middle of the park the trio of Casemerio, Tony Kroos and Luca Modric floundered last season. The signing of Paul Pogba or Christian Eriksen could bring the much needed energy to the midfield.

Upfront is where Madrid strength lie, Belgium forward Eden Hazard would have to shoulder most of the attacking responsibility after moving from Chelsea.  While French forward KarimBenzema and Luka Jovic could complete an attacking trio in the 4-3-3 formation favoured by manager Zidane. Welsh forward Gareth Bale has an outside chance depending on whether he regains his form.
